This song come from my blessings like that I am surviving this COVID-19 pandemic.
I am blessed that I survived being homeless.
I am blessed that a tree failed in my yard and not on me.
I am blessed to have a roof over my head and something to eat.
I am blessed to have met, performed with and recorded with remarkablely talented musicians.
I am blessed to have listen to some great music in the past like the 1976 hit by Peter Tosh - Legalize It.
I am blessed that one of the best guitar and keyboard players I know came by to visit me.
I am blessed to have a friend who knows a great deal about Reggae music.
On 5/9/2018, we laid down a 8 bar loop that was a great addition to our collaboration, and the feeling from it was I love this beat.
The mission of this collaboration was to attract the attention of former Reggae band members and fans of my old bands like Bo Bo Bayou and HAT 2000.
This 8 bar loop gave birth to a new band name The Geek Lab. This band makes use of technologies like MPC, Mini Nova, Maschine, Studio One, guitars, keys, VOC, Komplete Kontrol to make music and live concert shows.
After thinking about a couple of days, I came up with the words, the arrangement and the idea to make this song about music and a message like Peter Tosh - Legalize It. This is how we came with this song titled 4-20 Love Dub.
Much respect to Peter Tosh, other Reggae artists and the recording team of The Geek Lab.
